Who are we?

Gavin and Joan Shute of GardenWiz Tools Ltd (trading as GardenWiz Tools) are New Zealand-based importers, distributors and retailers of high quality, multi-function powered gardening tools and implements.

These products are aimed at gardeners, hobby farmers, market gardeners, orchardists and landscape designers.

Gavin previously owned and managed Gavin Shute Auto Services Ltd which was established in 1979. He was a motor mechanic for 47 years and had a large and very loyal customer base.

In recent years, Gavin and Joan bought a life-style block up in Hawke's Bay to grow olives. Waiohiki Olives produces and markets high-quality extra virgin olive oil for discerning customers. As their trees grew, they found they needed to source reliable and affordable power tools to manage their olive groves. These tools proved to be so successful, that they decided to share their great discoveries with others - hence GardenWiz Tools!

More recently, he has been appointed as New Zealand agent for RCGF model aircraft motors, who manufacture precision motors from 10cc capacity to up to a whopping 120cc.

Gavin is able to draw upon his mechanical skills and experience and his fully equipped workshop to offer a full service and repair facility for any tools or motors he sells and he is so confident in the quality that he is prepared to offer a full one-year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
